This dvd is amazing. I loved it. it is filmed in a karate studio. The first effect was a four ace production (brilliant). The second one is a spectator cuts to the aces. the dvd also includes a coins across part (you will need a gimmick) which is splended. There is a trick called inital burn. The effect is that a spectator choses a card signs it and retruns it to the deck. then a spectator signs a piece of paper and puts it ontop fo the deck. BAM!! you light the paper and then you riffle thru the deck to find the spectators signed card wiht there intial burned into the back of it. The next trick is called reality displacement. Then there is a card IN shoe (a great out i think). Then there is a triumph at the end. a great dvd and it is wothr the money.

here is a link for the uk listeners http://http://www.worldmagicshop.co.uk/impact-michael-paul-p-4052.html

as for the american listeners ebay or elmwoodmagic.com is your best shot!

It is easy to miss, but there are Product Review Guidelines posted above the main listing of reviews.  It includes a basic set of guidelines for writing reviews!

I think it's important to avoid exposure, but i am pretty sure the word shell is not a method. It's a tool. It's could also be an important bit of knowledge for people thinking of purchacing the DVD. A lot of times DVDs say right on the description (coat required, or shell required etc.)

Is that what you were refering to? because if we can't use words like shell, flipper, double-facer on this forum.... i am pretty sure that damages us much more than the possible exposure of a word many laymen won't understand anyway.

Exposure is bad, but lets not go overboard. let me know if you disagree though, just throwing in my 3 cents.

thats great to see
so many people just immediately assume that their opinion is the only one

but anyway, if you knew the effect, the method of a shell would be important, but I do agree that a layman wouldnt understand.  So I dont disagree

you decide.

You're a little more involved in the DVD, do you think the shell is important?

If you call shooting, editing and producing involved!

Seriously, I just don't want to step on another moderator's toes in regards to how much or little about gimmicks can be put in a review thread.  I actually specifically asked not to moderate this forum because I do produce DVDs and such so I am not going to come in here and throw my moderating weight around!

Cool reveiw. In response, it is hard to know sometimes what to do, but these are my thoughts. When referring to any gimmick, it is acceptable to name it if you are adding thoughts about the item. That would apply to a reveiw and such. In this case, the gimmick is does not need to be revealed because there is no thought behind it. You may openenly talk about gimmick for your own tricks or in descriptions/ reveiws.

PM me if you disagree.

Notsua, where did you buy the DVD?

Actually, I gave it to him after a series a private messages where he is lamenting the lack of support in his area.  I didn't ask him to review it!
