Numerous thefts, countless misdeeds, an organized police sting  and a disgraceful suicide in the bathtub of a hotel room in midtown Manhattan – these are only a few highlights of the long and controversial life of Zosa Szajkowski, a well-known but not well-respected Yiddish historian and bibliographer.
